We have established & funded local borough level GMECN hubs across the 10 Greater Manchester (GM) districts.
This is to support the Global Majority led Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector supporting our communities. These are host organisations that are exisiting Global Majority anchors in each borough. We ha
We have established & funded local borough level GMECN hubs across the 10 Greater Manchester (GM) districts.
This is to support the Global Majority led Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector supporting our communities. These are host organisations that are exisiting Global Majority anchors in each borough. We have funded each organisation to deliver this service. In turn, hubs will work to connect memebers to GMECN for further support.

We know our valued partners and stakeholders are already doing this across the VCFSE sector. However, we also know there are unique needs of global majority communities and barriers that require:
- Targeted, and culturally appropriate support.
- Space for peers to meet and collaborate.
- Trusted

We will deliver our mission through opportunities & strengthen Global Majority led organisation's collective contribution.
Our hubs will do this by:
- Creating Networks in each of the boroughs for connecting & collaboration opportunities.
- Creating Space for Global Majority led groups to get support.
- Partnership working with other organisations

- Partnership working with other organisations to ensure capacity building, knowledge sharing and more is done in culturally appropriate ways for our communities.
- Communications that are about sharing & collaborating on knowledge in culturally appropriate and accesible ways.
- Engagement opportunities for our communities to ensure that their needs are understood & addressed.
- GMECN Leaders Group membership to actively support issues raised at a network level that need addressing at a regional level.

Our Bolton & Wigan hub is delivered by BRASS. BRASS Is a Bolton based Global Majority led charity which supports refugees and asylum seekers with a range of services to help overcome barriers and integrate into the local community.

Our Bury Hub is delivered by Bury Active Women's Centre & Jewish Action for Mental Health. Between them they already support many diverse communities of Bury with decades of experience and supporting local communities.

Our Manchester Hub is delivered by the Manchester BME Network. They are a member-led Network of organisations that support Manchester's Black and Ethnic Minority communities.

Our Oldham Hub is delivered by SAWN. Support and Action for Women's Network, support Black African women in our communities to help them thrive and become independent and confident individuals.

Our Rochdale Hub is delivered by Kashmir Youth Project. KYP is a leading community voluntary organisation established in 1979 and provides a variety of services to the communities of Rochdale.
