GMECN is a community led network that grew from Ethnic Community organisations in Greater Manchester. We became an independent organisation Community Interest Company (CIC) in 2023.  Our community is for organisations majority led by and/or supporting Ethnic Communities who experience racial inequalities across Greater Manchester.   

To enable Ethnic Communities in Greater Manchester to thrive. To do this, we collaborate as a community to tackle inequalities in our sector for members to better serve their communities. Unlike national organisations, GMECN works hyper-locally with organisations rooted in the community.  

 These include live funding opportunities, access to relevant info, connecting & collaborating with peers, capacity development, technology workshops & more. We help our members connect with decision-makers to co-develop & provide insight to deliver services for Greater Manchester Ethnic Communities.
